First Pilot of the Sector Examination Centre Approach Conducted at Kandava Agricultural Technical School Following the Swiss Vocational Education Model

From 26 to 29 May, Kandava Agricultural Technical School hosted the first pilot of the sector examination centre approach for the professional qualification of Agricultural Mechanisation Technician.

Industry experts were involved in the organisation and assessment of the professional qualification examination, ensuring a unified assessment approach across vocational education institutions that train agricultural mechanisation technicians. The involvement of sector representatives strengthens the objectivity, quality, and alignment of the assessment process with labour market requirements, while also fostering closer ties between vocational education and the sector, and ensuring a transparent and reliable assessment process for both students and employers.
