The Faculty of Civil and Mechanical Engineering at Riga Technical University (RTU) invites master’s students to participate in research on advanced construction and road engineering technologies and materials. Students will receive a salary and conduct a three-month research stay at the Swiss Federal Laboratories for Materials Science and Technology (Empa).

Topics: Characterisation of RAP Mastics Using DSR Test Method and Design of Pavement Structures to Reduce Urban Heat Island Effect
Supervisors: Viktors Haritonovs (RTU), Mārtiņš Zaumanis (Empa)
Conditions: 6-month contract, €12/hour, 160 hours/month, 3 months at Empa.
Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in construction, transport engineering or materials science, knowledge of Latvian (A2) and English (B2), interest in lab work, analytical skills, and motivation to contribute to scientific research.
